CONSTRUCTION OF AHABA INTERLOCKING ROAD IN EZI KINGDOM BY DR. IFEANYI ONYEKWE

The Paramount Ruler of Ezi Kingdom, HRM Obi Oloome Mohanyem 1, acknowledged that Dr. Ifeanyi Onyekwe solely funded the Road project, describing it as a remarkable demonstration of his pure love and selflessness toward the Ahaba People and the Ezi Kingdom. He praised the initiative as both admirable, praiseworthy and worthy of emulation.

He said: “I am immensely proud of Dr. Ifeanyi Onyekwe, who has followed in the footsteps of his late parents, Ogbuenyi Clement Onyekwe & Omeakwu Martina Onyekwe, by continuing to demonstrate unwavering love for Ezi Kingdom, particularly Ahaba Quarters in Ogbe-Obi, Ezi. Despite the current economic challenges, while most people are clutching on to their resources, Dr. Onyekwe chose to invest his hard-earned money into constructing a quality road network for his community. Remarkably, in just five weeks, Ahaba Quarters in Ogbe-Obi, Ezi has been transformed, because Dr. Onyekwe dared to be different by this dire decision, and this has brought joy to the people of Ahaba in Ezi Kingdom.

In his response, Dr. Ifeanyi Onyekwe, a man of few words with a deep sense of humility, shared that it had always been the dream of his late father, Ogbuenyi Clement Onyekwe to transform Ahaba Quarters Ogbe-Obi in Ezi Kingdom, and he is proud to have fulfilled that vision. He emphasized that even after his father’s passing, the dream of a renewed Ahaba remains alive and serves as the driving force behind the project. Dr. Onyekwe expressed gratitude to HRM Obi Oloome Mohanyem for his dedication to fostering a modern and industrialized Ezi Kingdom. He also urged well-meaning sons and daughters of Ezi to respect the dignity and authority of the Obi’s Office, reminding them that Royalty is a universal institution deserving of honor and respect. Stressing the importance of unity and collaboration, he called on Ezi indigenes to channel their resources into the development of their community rather than demarketing the town.
